I consider Maple Leaf one of Seattle's great "happy medium" neighborhoods. Nestled both geographically as well as metaphysically between Roosevelt and Ravenna neighborhoods to the south and southeast respectively, and the Northgate district to the north, Maple Leaf embodies the charm of the 1940's & 50's classic Seattle craftsman era without as much of the commercial influence that one might find closer to Northgate Mall and Lake City Way. Maple Leaf residents' love of  their neighborhood can hardly be missed. By my estimates, fully 3 out of 4 Maple Leafians' Automobiles feature proudly-displayed "Maple Leaf 4 Life" bumper stickers. Which are a really nice break from those terrifying "Ballard 4 Death" stickers I keep seeing around town . . . At any rate, I love Maple Leaf too.
